The style with which I have drawn my comic books has evolved a lot, a process that can be seen in the first 9 pages of the Primordial B Plus.
Here are a few side-by side images of old and new versions. The old version, which is not the oldest, now seems hopelessly crude to me, but at the time I thought it was great.
Seeing the degree of improvement makes me think of how it helps to be a little delusional about the quality of one’s work. I wonder if well-known artists are prevented from exploring new media by the need to maintain their dignity.
